Encryption

Encryption is a process by which we use software to scramble sensitive information while it is in transit to Prince Services LLC.

Encryption is based on a key that has two different parts. The public part and the private part. The public part of the key is distributed to those you want to communicate with. The private part is for the recipient's use only.

When you send personal information to www.princeservices.com, you use Prince Services LLC's public key to encrypt your personal information. That means, if at any point during the transmission your information is intercepted, it is scrambled and very difficult to decrypt.

Once Prince Services LLC receives your encrypted personal information, we use the private part of our key to decode it.

Prince Services LLC currently uses the industry-standard SSL (Secure Sockets Layer) encryption. But we continue to keep up with the current technologies in order to provide the best security for our clients.

If you are using a security-enabled browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.1 or greater, or Netscape Navigator version 2.0 or greater), the information you send us regarding your purchase is encrypted, making it extremely difficult to read even if it is wrongly intercepted.

Prince Services LLC encrypts all personal information you give us when you create or login to your account. Remember, if you feel uncomfortable providing any of this information online, please feel free to call one of our representatives at (256) 260-0533.

Cookies

A cookie is a small piece of information sent from a web server to your computer. The cookie has a specific name and holds unique information used to identify your computer upon subsequent visits to the website. With most web browsers, cookies are accepted by default and most likely, you have many cookies already stored on your computer.

If you have set your browser to notify you before accepting a cookie, you will notice that www.princeservices.com may request a cookie to be set on your computer when you create an account or a quote. Its purpose is to determine and verify your identity with each page request.

This cookie, by itself, only tells us that a previous www.princeservices.com visitor has returned. It doesn't tell us your e-mail address or who you are.

If you would like to provide such information via registration, that's your choice. This personal information is not stored in the cookie.

If the web server does not detect a Unique ID for your session, it will generate one and send it to your browser in the form of a cookie. So, if you accept the cookie, you only get it once. If you do not accept the cookie, the web server will try to send you one with hits to certain pages, until you accept it.

This means that certain pages and items on these pages requested from www.princeservices.com will come with a cookie request unless you already have one.

www.princeservices.com uses both temporary and log cookies. Temporary cookies are necessary to maintain the user session and tell our server which page to load next. The traffic log cookie tells us what pages are being used and which ones aren't. This helps us make improvements to the site to better meet your needs and cut down on pages that don't get used.

Several immediate advantages are received when accepting a cookie from www.princeservices.com. For example, when you create an account with us, you can return to our site and access your account without logging back in, if you accepted the cookie when your account was created.

Overall, cookies help us give you a better website to use, by letting us monitor what's working and what isn't through site traffic analysis. In the future, a cookie may allow you to tell us what information you prefer to read and what you don't. For example, if you're a business customer, we can advise you on content specific to your needs.

We are providing this information because we want you to know why we ask you to accept a cookie. We want to be sure you understand that accepting a cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any personal information about you.

We know that a lot of people have concerns about cookies, but we feel that the benefits gained from their proper use is worthwhile. We value the relationships we have with our clients and future clients, so we respect these concerns.

Secure Purchasing Guarantee

Under the Fair Credit Billing Act, your bank cannot hold you liable for more than $50.00 of fraudulent charges.

If your bank does hold you liable for any of this $50.00, Prince Services LLC will cover the entire liability for you, up to the full $50.00.

Prince Services LLC will cover this liability only if the unauthorized use of your credit card resulted through no fault of your own from purchases made at www.princeservices.com while using the secure server.

In the event of unauthorized use of your credit card, you must notify your credit card provider in accordance with its reporting rules and procedures.

Quotation Builder Security

The Prince Services LLC website is registered with site identification authorities to enable your browser to confirm the Prince Services LLC website identity before any transmission is sent.

With this technology, the identity of our site is automatically confirmed behind the scenes prior to the transmission of any customer information requested to complete an online order your data reaches your intended target or your browser notifies you (prior to your sending any personal information) that the potential receiving site looks suspicious and should be avoided.

Protect Yourself

If you use a security-enabled browser (such as Microsoft Internet Explorer version 2.1 or greater, or Netscape Navigator version 2.0 or greater) paying attention to two browser features will decrease the chances for the unintended or fraudulent use of your personal information:

1. Browser security settings.

Your browser security preference settings are your first line of defense to stopping the theft or unwanted viewing of confidential, personal information. The most popular browsers offer you the ability to receive an alert or notification if any of the following happen or are about to occur:
  • changing between secure and insecure transmission modes
  • receiving an invalid site identification for the site to which you are about to transmit
  • sending a transmission over an "open" or unsecured connection
Check the settings of your browser security features to see all the checks that are possible and those that are currently in place.

2. Browser security signals.

The presence of security measures surrounding the entry of data on a web page is identified in several ways for you on your browser:
  • the URL identifying the page will always begin with "https://" versus the normal "http://".
  • a security symbol to indicate operation in a mode that supports secure transmissions
  • A "closed lock" icon is present in the bottom right-hand corner of your Microsoft Internet Explorer browser screen
  • An "unbroken key" icon appears in the lower left-hand corner of the Netscape Navigator browser screen
With these security measures in place, you can also feel confident that every credit card transaction you make with Prince Services LLC is protected by the Prince Services LLC Secure Purchasing Guarantee.
